Speaker: Professor Sauidi Asyari , Rector of Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Islamic University of Jambi
Prof. Dr. Suaidi Asyari holds a PhD in Indonesian Islamic and Political Studies from the University of Melbourne in Australia (2007). While at the Univ. of Melbourne, he worked with academic supervisors Prof. Merle Calvin Ricklefs , Prof. Abdullah Saeed, and Prof. Arief Budiman. He has another Doctoral degree in Islamic Civilization from the State Islamic University (UIN) Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta (2009) and worked with advisors Dr. H. Azyumardi Azra, MA, and Prof. Dr. H. Swito . He holds a Master's degree in Islamic Studies from McGill University and a Bachelor's from UIN Jambi in Religious Studies.
